At Home with All About the Benjamins

Eric, the new owner of All About the Benjamins sent us a picture of him and his Learn custom!

Eric and "Benjamins"

Not only is Eric a musician, he is also the developer of the Custom Guitar Generator, a really neat software that allows builders to completely spec out an instrument and create a concept “sketch” to present to clients.  Mike has used this software for years for presenting ideas to Jackson and Charvel.  Eric is in the process of creating a Learn Guitars version of the software for this site.  We have a demo version of the software available HERE if you would like to check it out.  I will be integrating it into the site further in the coming weeks.

Custom Build: The Pineapple Express Tropical ICON

Mike started yet another build today. This client loves classic electric guitar style and is going with an ICON body shape. The guitar will have an all natural finish, and is being built from some very exotic wood, including a neck made from Koa and chambered body from imported Tasmanian Blackwood.

You can follow Dal’s Build, the Pineapple Express, in the LearnAirbrush.com Guitar Forum.

Mike Ramps Up 2009 Guitar Production

Mike has just finished re-allocating shop space, reducing the area formerly held by metal fab and paint staging to allow more room and better efficiency for his woodworking equipment.  Mike is producing 2 new builds right now and is expecting to produce several complete customs each month this year.  In addition to Matt B’s commission, he is building the prototype for the first double cut away Mortal Sin.  Mike is also working with a client for then next few “War Plane Tribute” instruments.

Be sure to put LearnGuitars.com on your favorites list and check back often!  You will see a lot of action here!
